Now that you know the entire process of how to delete photos and posts on Facebook, you can clean up your profile and finally remove all those old photos that you no longer want to keep there. What kind of photos do you want to delete on your Facebook profile?
This wikiHow teaches you how to remove photos from your Facebook account. Hover your mouse over the photo you want to delete. Click on the edit option (the pencil icon) in the top right corner, and a drop-down menu will appear. The third option from the top will be to delete photos.

It's easier than ever, even since just two years ago when I wrote a similar guide on how to delete Facebook, when there wasn't a clear way to simply delete your account. Plus, Facebook makes it easy to take everything with you before you go, so I'll walk you through that, too.
Keep in mind that when you delete your Facebook account, you won't be able to use Facebook Login for other apps you may have signed up for with your Facebook account, such as Spotify or Pinterest. You may need to contact the apps and websites to recover those accounts. It will also delete your Facebook Messenger account, but your Instagram account will remain active.
You can't always remove Facebook photos that someone else posts, even if they're of you. You can remove unwanted photos that someone posts directly to your profile or business page by selecting the three dot (...) menu icon in the top right corner of the post that contains the photo. Select either Hide from Timeline or Delete to remove it. You can also remove Facebook tags that link a photo to you and cause unwanted photos to appear on your personal timeline or business page. Another way to prevent unwanted photos is to control who can use Facebook photo tags to tag you and approve what gets posted to your timeline.
If you want to delete a single post from your personal or business timeline, click or tap the ... menu icon next to the post. Click Hide from timeline to remove it from your timeline.
If you want to approve photos before people post them to your business page, log in to an account with administrative access to the page and click the Settings button at the top of the page. Click the General option, followed by Visitor Posts.
It's possible to limit the visibility of old photos and posts by making them private instead of deleting them entirely. From your Timeline, click the ellipsis next to the post you want to hide, select Edit Audience (Edit Privacy on mobile), then select who should have permission to view the post. Choose Only me to hide it from everyone else. To only hide the post from certain people, select Friends except... or Specific friends... to include or exclude certain friends.
Facebook was under fire for making its process of taking down a photo, comment or like rather convoluted. The same applied to those who wanted to delete their account altogether and might unknowingly leave a digital footprint, such as a message sent to someone still active on the platform.
When you stop using a social networking profile or website, it is a good idea to deactivate or delete your account. This will mean that your content is no longer visible online and should not be searchable online. It will also remove the risk of these accounts being used by others or hacked without you knowing.
